CURLING CENTRAL 2024-2025 SEASON AWARDS

The time has come to start revealing the award winners this season, and in a change from previous years, we begin with the People’s Choice Awards category.

Back in April on the page, nominations were open, and a number of names were submitted for all the awards in this category. After nominations closed, we narrowed down the nominees to six, and voting was opened for a three-week window in April-May.

Those votes have been counted, and we have our winners.

The next award is People’s Choice Women’s Player of the Year

The shortlisted nominees are Christina Black of Nova Scotia, Tracy Fleury of Ontario, Rachel Homan of Ontario, Sara McManus of Sweden, Alina Pätz of Switzerland, and Sarah Wilkes of Ontario.

The winner is Rachel Homan

Here we have the results of usable votes, voting percentages are rounded to the nearest 0.1%.

Rachel Homan – 46.4%

Tracy Fleury – 23.5%

Christina Black – 22.3%

Alina Pätz – 3.5%

Sarah Wilkes – 2.9%
