Orkney 2025 is delighted to announce the Community Champions who have been nominated to present medals during the Games

We were overwhelmed with the nominations we received and are delighted to announce that 60 Orkney folk have taken on the honour of being our community champs!

Recognised for their commitment, hard work and dedication to make Orkney a fantastic place to live and work, those nominated will have the honour of awarding winning athletes with their medals.

Each individual was nominated for a unique reason, whether that was helping out the local community, setting up an initiative or their volunteering work, each Community Champion deserves the rightful recognition.

There will be 162 medal ceremonies during the Games and these Community Champions will be presenting at 60 of those ceremonies. The remaining medals will be presented by a range of other folk including those nominated by the individual sports, our sponsors and our funders.
